Atomik Circus is the synth-driven project of Ben, a French–Canadian music producer based in Calgary, Canada.
Blending retro nostalgia with modern energy, his music explores the worlds of Synthwave, Retrowave, and Outrun—often laced with Drum & Bass flair. With over 150 tracks released over 15 years, placements in sync licensing, and features on channels like Prime Thanatos, Atomik Circus is a bold voice in the retro-futuristic soundscape.
Born in the 80s and raised on arcade lights, cassette tapes, and early computers, Ben’s passion for music and technology naturally collided in the early 2000s when he started producing tracks using Sonic Foundry’s Acid and Sound Forge. But it was Reason Studios (Formely Propellerhead Reason) that became his creative weapon of choice—and remains his go-to DAW to this day.
As Atomik Circus, his music is a vibrant tribute to the past and a pulse-pounding ride into neon-tinted futures. While rooted in synth-heavy atmospheres, he isn’t afraid to bend genres—infusing his sound with Drum & Bass elements and cinematic textures, making each track both retro and refreshingly unique.
Outside the studio, Ben fuels his creativity with adrenaline—skydiving, BASE jumping, and snowboarding. That same bold spirit bleeds into his music, pushing boundaries and defying expectations.
